Cub Cadet

Cub Cadet is an innovative app created by 2 Dam Creative for MTD Products based in Europe. Three versions of the app have been released in Australia, Europe and USA. Available in 28 languages and uses 3 custom built API’s and a payment gateway.

  • Mobile App

This groundbreaking app allows owners and users to interact with their Cub Cadet outdoor power equipment directly through their mobile device. The app connects to ride on mowers and sends information from the ride on back to the app about the battery, cutting blades, oil levels, and air filters. Users can also locate their closest service provider, order spare parts (US version only) and access the operating manual for their particular model. The app was built using ionic cross-platform software for both iOS and Android mobile phones and includes 3 x custom built API’s.


Supplier service locator API
This API pulls information from the MTD Supplier database, including address details, service details, latitude & longitude.

Spare parts purchasing API
Only available in the U.S. version, this API pulls live information from a database to allow users to purchase spare parts from within
the app. Also includes a payment gateway.

Operating Manuals API
With over 60 different models and with each manual available in 28 languages we needed to find a way to have all manuals accessible in the app, so we developed an API that pulls the manuals from a server. This also means that the manuals are always up to date. The app is available in 28 languages and 49 countries around the world.
