Charlie Blowdry is a new-to-market hair salon specialising in professional, modern styling. They offer complimentary Wi-Fi, iPads, and a glass of Charlie Bubbles for all customers.
Charlie Blowdry wanted to establish a unique and recognisable brand – unisex, edgy, and sharp, with an industrial feel that compliments the décor of their salon. They were familiar with 2 Dam Creative through our previous work, and were attracted to our vision, personalised service, and ability to accommodate client needs in a responsive manner throughout the creative journey. They knew of our reputation for flexibility, focus, and attention to detail. Charlie Blowdry engaged us to develop a full suite of branding elements including logo, business cards and merchandise, as well as a captivating and functional website for online bookings and blogs. Additionally, they asked us to develop professional marketing materials, and a social media strategy to boost traffic and build brand awareness.

Charlie Blowdry operates in a highly competitive industry. As a new operator with no client base or brand awareness, the challenge was to create an ageless brand that appeals to male and female clients. We knew we had to design a beautiful, crisp, uncluttered website that delivers the right balance of information and booking functionality. Through face-to-face meetings, we worked with Charlie Blowdry to define goals, storyboard design elements, and identify the vision and tone of the campaign. This cultivated a positive and productive relationship built on trust. We also conducted extensive market research to identify elements that would resonate with the target market. Our approach ensured that we brought together the perfect mix of skills for the greatest impact – web design, artistic direction, market research, technology solutions, and digital marketing.
Delivered within budget and ahead of time, Charlie Blowdry are thrilled with the results. The timeless unisex logo and cohesive branding transfer easily across various lines of merchandise and advertising materials. The professional imagery, and incorporation of the Charlie Blowdry brand into visuals, has ensured positive exposure across social media channels. From zero brand awareness prior to our engagement, they now enjoy increasing daily traffic across Facebook, Instagram, and their website.
